Two athletes Kate Shotmen and Isabel Thorpe are trying to attract as much attention as possible to the great problem of pollution of the oceans. The girls are engaged in synchronized swimming and for this they performed in a pool filled with plastic waste.
In this way, they have demonstrated a problem that has been bothering marine inhabitants for decades. Because of the huge emissions into the ocean, all living creatures suffer greatly, and some die. About 8 tons of plastic are thrown into the ocean annually. According to forecasts, with such a pace by 2030, this figure may increase by 2 times.
Synchronic performances were held as part of the project The Big Bang Fair, where participants present their solutions to environmental problems.
