The history of the logo originates in the distant 1880. The founder of Daimler Motoren Gessellschaft (DMG) – Gottlieb Daimler decorated the house with a three-pointed star, using it as a talisman. After his death, the sons took this symbol as the basis of the logo. There is an opinion that the star symbolized three applications of Daimler engines: in the air, on the ground and on the water. In 1926, as a result of the merger of DMG and Benz & Cie, a new car brand was formed – Mercedes-Benz, the logo of which was a three-beam star from DMG and a laurel wreath from Benz & Cie. After 70 years, the logo has been simplified to our usual appearance.
