The first commercial of Apple

Apple, Macintosh, commercial

With what do you associate an apple?

Most likely, you will answer: “with Apple company.” And in fact it is, the company has become one of the most recognizable during its existence. But how did their journey begin? How did they get around competitors from IBM?

It all started in 1984 with the presentation of the first desktop computer – the Macintosh. And that this event is even more imprinted in the minds of people – the company launched an ad that was shown during the Super Bowl. In it, the authors displayed Orwell’s anti-utopia “1984”, where a girl with a hammer ran into a hall full of zombified people, and launched it into the screen from which Big Brother broadcast. At the end of the video titles are shown: “On January 24, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh. And you will see why 1984 will not be the same as “1984”. As you guessed it, the girl symbolized the Macintosh, and Big Brother – IBM, which made advertising a real masterpiece.

Such an original movie just could not be unnoticed. So he won the Grand Prix of the festival of advertising and was rightly called the best advertisement of the 80’s.
