Again. Facebook continues to drain data deliberately
Recently, a scandal with a massive data leak through Facebook has died down. Journalists from The Wall Street Journal indicate the continuation of an intentional leak regarding court documents.
⠀
Back in 2015, Facebook promised to disable access to special records, called “Whitelists”. But again, it broke their word.
⠀
“White Lists” contain information about the friends of registered users, including their phone numbers.
⠀
As Ime Archibong, vice president of partnering with partner products, said, Facebook really provided some companies with “short-term extensions” for such data. Among the partner companies are Royal Bank of Canada and Nissan Motor Company.
⠀
Archibong states that there were no indulgences for the companies. But how can you believe in the confidentiality of data after a constant leak?
