Amazon challenged Google. The Internet giant is testing its advertising platform.

Google, Criteo SA, and other commercial marketing companies can lose the multibillion-dollar profits that Amazon brings to them. Marketplace no longer buys the Product Listing Ads in Google Shopping and launches its advertising platform.

The platform does not yet have a name and is under testing. Already this month, the beta version will be available to selected customers. Advertising works on the model CPC (cost per click) – the seller pays only Amazon.

The platform will allow launching advertising even outside of it, increasing coverage. Sellers will also be able to lure consumers back for purchase, following them online. The list of applications and sites for advertising is not disclosed.
